Weight Loss! And P90X

AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! I'm SOOO stoked!!! So I've been trying (off and on :D) for the last 2 years to try and lose weight. I've actually gone through periods where I've put on a few lbs instead of taking it off. Mostly when we're traveling and having to eat out everywhere. Because then, I just can't help myself. I LOVE food and living in Elko where we have no chain restaurants (NOT ONE) I just can't find the discipline to eat small portions when we do go out. I tend to gorge :)

When I start working out and hitting the gym, I get pretty addicted. So its not hard for me to get started and stick to it for a little while. My problem is that if something comes up (ie: an out of town trip) and throws me off my schedule I have a hard time getting back into it. Especially if I'm going to the gym alone with no company or accountability. Anyway, my point is that even with all the working out and counting calories I haven't been able to get passed a certain point on the scale. While Mike was gone I was really hoping to get back down to my pre-marriage weight. AND that didn't happen. I swear it's like my scale was rigged, it wouldn't get passed that stupid number.

Even when I had my wisdom teeth pulled out and had to eat soup for a week.

So after our last trip out of town I was determined to really watch my portions at meal times and my junk food snacking. The last several weeks I've done pretty well and really felt like I was starting to actually lose a couple of lbs. I didn't even bother stepping on the scale because I knew it wasn't gonna be any different. But this morning, I just did it. AND IT FINALLY CHANGED!!!!! Only by 2 lbs but this is the first time in 2 years that number has moved!!! I am SOOO stoked!!!

I told my dad that I wanted the P90X for Christmas, so he already ordered it for me (he's the best!!) and I should be getting it in less than a week. I still don't have a job so there's no excuse for me. :) I'm really excited about getting started!!!!!! Maybe I'll actually get some muscle tone for the first time in my life! Woot Woot!
