Winter? and Other Random Rantings

I am SOOO not ready for winter. It snowed again yesterday but this time it stayed so cold that it hasn't melted. I actually had to scrape ice off my car this morning.

Have I mentioned how much I hate the snow and cold?

So I need to vent. I seem to have a serious problem with attracting pushy, opinionated and nosy people. I know you all know this. I've mentioned it before. :) My patience for these kinds of people is wearing thin and one of these days I'm afraid I might actually lose it and go off on 'em. I can't stand it when someone interrupts a private conversation and asks about the topic. Or that pushes and pushes and pushes you for information when its frankly none of their business.

On a much happier note. I had a fabulous lunch and Twilight movie date with my knitting group! I had such a great time (as usual) and have made such great friends with a couple of these girls! Yay!

But what the heck happened to Greg Vaughan!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's only the most gorgeous man alive. Seriously. I've never seen a man so beautiful in all my life and they've replaced him. So sad.

They should have hired him to play the role of Edward :) haha!

Missing Time

I had no idea that the Twilight series would make time stand still. I did absolutely nothing until I was finished with the entire series. Less than one book per day. I know I'm a fairly fast reader, but this series was JUST that good.

I seriously resisted because the vampire thing just did not appeal to me. And as I said. I had NO idea. For 4 whole days it totally consumed my life. Which was bad. Everything I neglected????? But it was also awesome!! lol

I think my husband was glad to have his wife back. I finally looked up and saw what a mess the house was :)

Now I have projects to go finish up!

Good Day

Baking bread and well into the 3rd book of the Twilight series! Mike said I was ridiculous. I just started the series day before yesterday. I CAN'T put it down.

And no offense to anyone, but I usually roll my eyes at the people that are into the whole vampire thing. Or even Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings for that matter. Its just never been something that appealed to me.

I have to say, the werewolf part sort of put it a little over the edge for me. But now I know why its all the rave. :)

Twilight

I resisted. I just never got into the Vampire thing so I just didn't see how I could possibly like the series. Well I think every person I know (or close) is in love with the series.

My dad just sent me a Kindle (isn't he the best!!!??) so I decided to give it a shot. So I downloaded the first Twilight book.

AND.

I'm hooked. Like I read the entire book in one afternoon/evening. My husband is now like "Great, my wife is into Vampires" lol

So I ordered the second book and the read the first couple of chapters before I went to bed last night.

I'm meeting a bunch of ladies for lunch today and I'm thinking that's a good thing. Get my head back into reality for a couple hours :) lol

9 months

I had a dream last night that I was 9 months pregnant. Should I be worried???? ;)

It was SO strange. I could actually "feel" the misery of being that pregnant and umm I've never been before. Definitely quite the dream.

FISH!

I woke up one morning, about a month ago, and it was brought to my attention that I needed to check out my aquarium. The entire back wall was covered in a cloud. I immediately assumed it was parasites and thought my tank was infected. THEN I quickly realized....they were babies. I have Texas Cichlids in a 55 gallon tank, and they made LOTS of babies. So I did some research and read that they lay 500-1000 eggs!! HOLY MOLY!! Well it sure looked like it.

Fast forward 1 month.

They're nesting again!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm like, NO WAY,right? So, I looked up information and couldn't find ANYTHING that said they could breed that often and that quickly.

Tonight I was trying to see if I could find the eggs just to confirm that they actually are nesting again. AND, I did. I found eggs. LOTS of them. *sigh*

Seriously. What the heck are we gonna do with 500-1000 eggs when we already have 100-200 babies in the tank!!!! I already have a deal with the pet store owner, and he only wants to buy 5-10 of them. That was before I even realized there were more coming!

So here's a few pictures. You can see the eggs and the new babies. There's a picture that gives you an idea how big the babies are now compared to the momma. The last picture is just to show you the coloring on mom and dad. They're both the same breed of fish and usually look identical. They get a lot darker when they're protecting their territory. The mom is black and white, the dad will turn black and white when the eggs hatch.

Anyone want a few fish???? :)

MIA

So I've been MIA for a few months now. I've been BUSY!!!

I had major cleaning to do at home, we had boxes and boxes (and BOXES) of stuff from our parents that we had no room for. I started sorting through all of it and realized...we just need a bigger house :) that's all there is to it :) lol

Then I headed to dad's in Washington twice, then off to Houston, Boston, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania. I have all my pictures posted on facebook, so maybe once of these days (soon), I'll get some posted on here too.
